About Mark S. Johnson

For over 30 years, Mark S. Johnson has kept his creative passion burning by dreaming big, leaning into curiosity, and continually reinventing himself. Throughout his journey, he has consistently redefined what it means to embrace a life of artistic exploration—serving as a Photoshop luminary, photographer, author, 3D artist, and visual storyteller—before discovering his latest joy: crafting children’s books with the help of AI.

Through the Rocky Mountain School of Photography, The Radiant Vista, and Boulder Digital Arts, he has lectured in front of and worked side-by-side with countless individuals, including Adobe’s Chief Executive Officers, Jane Goodall, the U.S. Ambassador to Finland, and Academy Award-winning director Louie Psihoyos. Mark’s tutorials appeared regularly on the KelbyOne and Planet Photoshop websites, and his imagery and articles have been featured in Photoshop UserPhoto TechniquesNature’s Best, and After Capture magazines.

Today, Mark channels his passion for storytelling into creating heartfelt, visually rich children’s books that spark imagination and wonder. Collaborating with AI tools, he brings to life playful adventures and meaningful moments—inviting young readers (and their grown-ups) to see the world through curious, joyful eyes.
